Effective February 25, 2026. What this site collects, why, and what is done with it — written to be read, not survived.

Who runs this site

Anthonyadore.com is a personal author website operated by Anthony Adoré, publishing original essays and books. There is no company behind it and no staff. Questions about this policy, or requests concerning your information, reach the site owner directly through the contact form, and are answered personally.

What this site collects from visitors

You can read everything here without giving any personal information. Information is collected only in these three cases.

Cookies and consent

Cookies strictly necessary to operate the site are always set. Non-essential cookies and third-party embeds — analytics, and embedded media from services such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X and Flickr — are blocked until you consent.

A consent notice appears on your first visit. You may accept or decline, and declining costs you no access to any essay. Your choice is remembered in a cookie so you are not asked repeatedly, and you can change it at any time by clearing your browser cookies for this site.

Publishing to social platforms

Essays published here are also posted to the author’s own accounts on Instagram, Facebook, X, Flickr and TikTok, by software running on this website called the AA Social publishing integration. Because this is the part of the site that touches third-party platforms, it is described here in full.

What is published: only original work owned by the site owner — the artwork created for an essay, a caption written for that platform, a short set of topical hashtags, descriptive alternative text for accessibility, and a link back to the essay. Nothing is republished from other people’s accounts, and no third party’s content is posted.

Exactly three things are obtained from those platforms:

How credentials are handled: access tokens are stored in this website’s own database, on this site’s hosting, and are used solely to publish to the connected account. They are never transmitted to any third party, never sold, never shared, and are not used for analytics, profiling or advertising. Administrative screens mask them. Access can be revoked at any time from the platform’s own settings, or by disconnecting the account here, after which the software can no longer publish and the stored credential is removed.

Automated publishing and its limits: publishing runs on a fixed schedule of a small number of posts per platform per day, drawn only from content already published on this site. Every attempt is recorded so the same item is never posted twice, and there is no bulk or mass posting. Where a platform requires posts made through its API to remain private until its review process is complete, that restriction is respected.

Compliance: this integration is operated in accordance with the developer terms and platform policies of each service used, including the TikTok Developer Terms of Service and TikTok’s content-sharing guidelines, and the corresponding terms of Meta for Instagram and Facebook, X, and Flickr.

The rest, in brief

Open any section below to read it in full.

Hosting — stores the site and its database and processes ordinary server logs.

Image optimisation — compresses images and serves modern formats for faster loading.

Search-engine tooling — generates the metadata and structured data that search engines read.

Content generation assistance — some artwork and draft captions are produced with AI writing and image tools. Only the site owner’s own material is sent to those tools; visitor information never is.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information about you is held, to receive a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, use the contact form.

Because this site collects very little, in most cases the honest answer is that nothing about you is held beyond ordinary server logs and any message you chose to send.

This site is written for adults, deals with adult subject matter, and is not directed to children. Information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 13, or the minimum age in your jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided information, write to me and it will be deleted.
Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to correspond. Server logs are retained for a limited period by the host. Publishing records — which essay went to which platform and when — are kept for as long as the integration operates, so that content is not posted twice.
Reasonable technical measures protect stored information, including restricted administrative access, masked credentials, and HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, and no absolute guarantee is made.
If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will change and the revised policy will be posted here.
